Ogilvie Fleet scores double top in annual fleet ‘Techies’ Awards

Ogilvie Fleet notched double top in this year’s fleet industry ‘Techies’ - the annual awards that recognise the fleet industry’s technology-specific products and services across all areas of the business car market.  

The awards, organised by trade publication BusinessCar, are in their ninth year. The magazine’s editor Debbie Wood said: “With so much innovation and advancements in technology these days, judging was no easy feat but we’ve selected a winner for each of the nine categories to represent which new technology we think should be at the top of fleet managers’ wish list this year.

“The ‘Techies’ are designed to reward technical innovations that make a genuine difference to fleet managers’ daily operations.”  

Ogilvie Fleet won the Leasing and Contract Hire Award for the fourth time in the past five years for the continued evolution of its MiFleet Showroom online reporting tool and the Best App for its ‘Happy Drivers App’, which is available to the industry at large, not just customers.  

won the Fleet Management Award for its FleetWave software; the Risk Management Award was won by Citroen for its ConnectedCam forward-facing camera; the Green Award was captured by the Hyundai Ioniq, claimed to be the first car to be available as a conventional hybrid, a plug-in hybrid and a pure electric vehicle in one body type; RAC won the Telematics Award; the Innovation Award went to EO Charging for its fleet-specific  eoHUB, a mini-computer that can connect 30 ‘smart-ready’ EO electric vehicle recharging stations to the internet; the Remarketing Award was won by BCA for its Data Science business intelligence and analytics that delivers vehicle remarketing benefits to fleet customers; and the Service, Maintenance and Repair Award was won by Alphabet for its new tyre management portal.
