Ogilvie Fleet celebrates double triumph in fleet industry ‘Techies’

Ogilvie Fleet has notched double top in the 2018 fleet industry ‘Techies’ - the annual awards that recognise the fleet industry’s technology-specific products and services across all areas of the business car market.

Ogilvie Fleet won the Remarketing Award and the Editor’s Choice Award for APPraisal, its smartphone app designed to help fleet managers and drivers overcome often contentious end-of-contract damage charges on company vehicles.

The Fleet Technology Awards - known in the industry as the ‘Techies’ - are in their 10th year and are organised by trade publication BusinessCar. The awards recognise the leading products and services from all areas of the business car market - including fleet management, remarketing, daily rental, telematics and maintenance.

The BusinessCar editorial team put their judging hats on and chose winners across 10 categories.

The magazine’s editor, Simon Harris, said: “With so much innovation and advancements in technology these days, judging was no easy feat but we’ve selected a winner for each of the 10 ‘Techies’ categories, including the coveted Editor’s Choice Award, to represent which new tech we think should be at the top of operators’ fleet wish list in 2018.”

Other winners were: Best App, Jaama’s ‘MyVehicle App’; Risk management, The Driving Doctor; Innovation, The Miles Consultancy - Mobility+; Green, Arval - SmaRT;  SMR, Allstar Servicepoint; Leasing and Contract Hire, LeasePlan - Carnext.com; Telematics,
VisionTrack; Fleet Management, IFM - OSCAR365.
