Enhanced level of information security for fleets with new FleetCheck certification
An enhanced level of information security for fleets is
being promised by a new certification received by FleetCheck.
The fleet software specialist now holds ISO 27001, the
internationally recognised information security standard, which specifies and
audits processes that are intended to bring information security under clear
and unambiguous management control.
Peter Golding, managing director at FleetCheck, said: “The
nature of the services we provide, which quite often include personal details
and other sensitive data, means that information security is a subject that we
take very seriously.
“Over the last year especially, we have been increasingly
working with a number of major industry bodies and larger fleets, and they
rightly demand the highest level of compliance in this area.
“Achieving ISO 27001 provides a strong baseline standard
and, alongside the other measures we are undertaking, means that our
rapidly-growing client base can rest assured that their information is
protected with very high levels of control, auditing and security.”
FleetCheck has signed up more than 200 new customers so far
in 2018, bringing the total to more than 800. The number of fleets using its
software has also risen by more than 15,000 to around 80,000.
this year, a new FleetCheck regional office was opened in Doncaster to serve
the company’s user base of larger commercial vehicles, which is becoming
increasingly focused in the North of England.
