Road Safety charity Brake’s annual Fleet Safety
Conference taking place at the St John’s Hotel, Solihull, on Thursday, 25 May is
to be sponsored by the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS).
The annual conference brings together fleet managers and
suppliers to share best practice in managing road risk. This year it will cover
topical issues including engaging drivers with safety, safe vehicles, road
safety in the community and protecting vulnerable road users.
FORS, a voluntary accreditation scheme encompassing road
safety, fuel efficiency, vehicle emissions and improved operations, helps fleet
operators to manage their occupational road risk and encourages road safety
best practice amongst its members.
John Hix, concession director at FORS, said:
“Safety is at the heart of FORS and the Fleet Safety Conference is a great way
for us to continue to spread that message and encourage operators to embrace
best practice. Brake continues to do a fantastic job in championing these aims
and we look forward to working together once again to encourage real change in
