Two new products to be launched by FleetCheck at CV Show 2017
Two key new products were launched by fleet software
specialist FleetCheck at this week’s Commercial Vehicle Show at the NEC,
The first, Policy Manager, is claimed to be an industry-first automated fleet
policy writer, designed to guide companies of all sizes, but especially SMEs,
through creating a legally compliant and operationally effective framework for
The second is a Walkaround Check App, which is said to provide a robust way of
carrying out essential commercial vehicle safety checks. Designed for HGVs,
vans, buses and coaches, it creates the means to schedule, carry out, confirm,
follow-up and audit all kinds of inspections from daily walkarounds to formal
weekly or monthly checks.
Peter Golding, managing director at FleetCheck, said: “Both of these products
have been created to meet very definite needs facing today’s commercial vehicle
“In today’s culture of heightened legal awareness, many companies are concerned
about their degree of compliance and what would happen if they were faced with
an investigation following a road accident. Policy Manager allays these fears
with straightforward tools, processes and guidance that will create a complete
fleet health and safety solution.
“Similarly, the Walkaround Check App is, we believe, probably one of the most
robust, simple-to-use and effective electronic methods of replacing an old
school manual commercial vehicle safety process available today.
“We have spent a long time ensuring that it works highly effectively in real
world fleet situations where safety processes can easily become a little
ragged. The app creates an infrastructure that minimises the chances of this
“Also, we have designed it to be fully compliant with the Driver and Vehicle
Standards Agency safety and maintenance guide, meaning that it will help fleets
to meet their legal obligations.”
Both new products integrate with FleetCheck’s fleet management software, which
is already in use by more than 500 customers operating 50,000 vehicles.
